Project description

The digitisation of teaching offers opportunities to strengthen individualised learning, which benefits weaker students in particular. How digitalisation is implemented and how teachers deal with "digitalised" teaching phases is of central importance. In the project, a teaching concept was evaluated together with school practitioners, which sought to make targeted use of the learning and motivation-promoting potential of a digital learning programme - with the corresponding participation of the teacher. The aim of the teaching concept: to prevent motivational "negative spirals" and thus to promote self-regulated learning, especially of weaker students. This was implemented through an individualisation of learning as well as digital, motivational feedback for (mis)successes. Further training for teachers on individual support for students outside of and in addition to the learning programme should additionally strengthen the effectiveness of the teaching concept. The extent to which the above-mentioned goals were achieved was recorded in diaries kept by students and teachers. The use of a digital learning programme already widely used in schools offered ideal implementation possibilities, e.g. the possibility of individually assigning learning material (tasks and in-depth texts) and systematically fading in feedback.
