Data available from the FDZ at the IQB
For your research, you can apply to the FDZ at the IQB for access to German data records from national and international school performance studies for the purpose of education monitoring as well as from national studies containing competence measurements in the field of education for re- and secondary analyses. For educational monitoring studies, specific terms of use apply (see "SUF application procedure" as well as our Rules of Procedure and our regulations on novel Länder comparisons).
The FDZ at the IQB provides records on a variety of subject matters, such as:
- School performance studies with representative data, e.g. DESI, ELEMENT, ICILS, IGLU, IQB National Assessment Studies and IQB Trends in Student Achievement, PISA, TIMSS
- Studies focussing on specific aspects of competency acquisition, e.g. FUnDuS, KuL
- Studies on teacher training, e.g. BilWiss, ProFeL, ProLeLe, proPHI, ProwiN, Systemdenken
- Studies on special educational needs, e.g.BiLieF, IQB Trends in Student Achievement
- Studies on early childhood education, e.g. BiKS, PHONO, SEIKA-NRW
- Studies on vocational education, e.g. studies within the ASCOT network (CoBALIT, CoSMed, DomPL-IK, TEMA)
- Studies investigating all-day schools, e.g. Aufmerksamkeit, StEG
For teaching purposes, you can apply to the FDZ at the IQB for access to the Campus Files (CFs), which are specifically suited for use in a university context (such as the teaching of methods for data editing and analysis as well as their application in student course papers).
