With the 'Guidelines for the use of permitted aids’, the federal states have agreed on common regulations regarding the functionality of permitted digital aids. These regulations refer to modular mathematical systems (MMS) and simple scientific calculators (WTR). In accordance with the guidelines valid from 2030, the federal states assess, upon the manufacturers’ request, whether an MMS or a WTR meets the federal states’ shared requirements. The KMK secretariat conducts the certification. As soon as an aid has been certified, it will be listed on the KMK secretariat’s website.

In addition to permitted digital aids, a mathematics and science formula booklet can also serve as a resource for working on pool tasks in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. This formula booklet may only contain the contents of the following document. During class, other formula booklets may still be used.
