Project description

The project deals with coping skills for typical nursing stress and interprofessional cooperation competencec for interprofessional cooperation. The project has identified how these competencies can be assessed and promoted in nursing education. To this end, digital, video-vignette-based test instruments and a teaching-learning unit for the promotion of coping skills were developed, which can be used by teachers in the classroom, for example. In addition, a web application is available to nurses during their training, enabling them to reflect on training conditions and personal challenges that promote competence. Thus, the project not only directly addresses problems in nursing practice, but also directly contributes to the production/expansion of nursing knowledge. The scientific added value lies in the generation of knowledge about how well nursing students are already prepared for dealing with stressful situations and interprofessional cooperation, and how coping skills can be further promoted. Instruments are available to measure coping skills, cooperation competence, and quality of education. (IQB)
