Any further processing will only be carried out if you have given your consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR) or if there is a legal permit, e.g. for the purposes of legitimate interests according to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The interest then consists in the assertion or rejection of claims.

9. What data protection rights do you have?

If your personal data is processed, you have the right to obtain information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR).

Should inaccurate personal data be processed, you have a right to correction (Art. 16 GDPR).

If the legal requirements are met, you can request the deletion or restriction of processing (Art. 17 and 18 GDPR). Under certain conditions, you have the right to receive the personal data concerning you, which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, if the processing is based on consent or a contract and is carried out with the aid of automated procedures (Art. 20 GDPR).

If the data is stored based on consent, you have the right to revoke your consent at any time. The revocation of the consent does not affect the legality of the processing before exercising the right of revocation.

You have the right to object at any time, for reasons arising from your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you, which is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. e GDPR and Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR). If you lodge a justified objection, your personal data will no longer be processed, unless we can prove compelling legitimate reasons for processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or if the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

Should you make use of your above-mentioned rights, we will check whether the legal requirements are fulfilled and you will receive a corresponding notification from us. If necessary, we will ask you to identify yourself; we are obliged to do so if there are any doubts.

If you are of the opinion that the processing of personal data concerning you violates data protection regulations, you have the possibility to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example with the Berlin State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Art. 77 GDPR).
