Project description

In higher education, there is an increasing demand for the systematic integration of sustainability issues into the mediation of business administration skills for students of business administration. In the collaborative project Ko-NaMa, a theoretically founded and empirically elaborated competence structure model for corporate sustainability management in economy science higher education was validated. For this purpose, existing instruments for competence measurement have been expanded to include technology-based test formats. Through authentic company situations, the ability to interpret situations, adopt other perspectives and make decisions should be recorded. The validation studies focused on the following aspects: the curricular validity through the analysis of study materials and a university teacher and student survey, as well as the external validity through a company survey on the adequacy of the test content and the construct validity. For the verification of the construct validity, the various areas of knowledge (general knowledge about sustainability, declarative business knowledge and justification knowledge as well as strategic knowledge in operational sustainability management) were confirmatively checked for convergent and divergent validity. In order to validate the interpretation of the test values as learning outcomes of higher education, analyses were conducted on the instructional sensitivity of the different dimensions. The test population was economics students from the third bachelor semester. (IQB)
